Avril, a young lawyer specialising in animal defence, does everything she can to save her client, a repeat offender dog, from capital punishment. This dog helps Avril to accept her own human complexity. During development, Laetitia Dosch met Justine Triet, who told her that she was making Anatomija pada (2023), a film about a trial involving a dog and a visually impaired person, with a female protagonist. The similarities almost led Dosch to abandon the project.
